This overall purpose of completing this project was to simulate the responsibilities that teachers have when creating a year-long plan and working with a team of teachers. My group had 6th grade, and I represented the Mathematics portion of the planning. The other group members represented Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. The overall objectives of this project were to develop curriculum maps, schedules, and a 5-day thematic unit.

The first section of this project was to create several different types of curriculum maps.
Curriculum Map #1: Annual Curriculum Plan for all team members. This is our yearly schedule that references the standards that will be covered each week. I have included the first 2 pages of the document. If you would like to see the entire document the file is below.
Curriculum Map # 2: Grading period map Our grading period is broken into 9 weeks. This is the first 9 weeks. The 9 week map allowed my team and I to break down standards into daily topics instead of weekly topics. We were only required to take this step on one grading period. Curriculum Map # 3: Thematic Week This is a one week pull out from the 9 week plan. This allowed us to be more specific in our plans for the week. This is only 1 page. It has been pulled out from the 9 week map document above.
